Now & Then: Lucky Number Three

The Reither Construction crew had so much fun getting to know our client in Parker while we remodeled her two guest bathrooms and master bathroom! Barbara Barton, CMKBD, CLIPP, CAPS, designed the bathrooms to visually reflect the customer but also with Living-in-Place in mind.

According to Living-in-Place, most homes were built without proper attention to accessibility and safety risks that increase home accidents. With that in mind, Barton and Reither designed and built the bathrooms to thoroughly and quickly identify, report and recommend home modifications that improve independence and dignity for all home occupants, regardless of their age or needs.

Within the master bathroom the customer and designer selected the frameless shower door by Denver Glass Interiors and the shower seat which are essential in allowing for more room to enter the space. Also, the tile decor is not only for aesthetics but for safety; the contrast of the tile and the addition of listello helps to stabilize while in the shower by allowing a focal point. Finally, the lower niche in the shower allows for a person to sit on the shower seat and still be able to reach for their soap. As you can see below, there are many design aspects that went into this bathroom not only for a beautiful bathroom but allow for customers to grow within their home comfortably. See master bathroom and guest bathroom details below.
